Nature covers the strong R&D capacity of NTU and other leading institutions in East Asia.
A special issue of Nature, titled Five Hubs of Asian Science (2018/06/27), lists Taiwan as one of the five strong R&D investors and supporters in East Asia, the other four hubs of science being Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and South Korea. The world-renowned journal also published an online news feature Science in East Asia—By the Numbers (2018/06/27) charting NTU as one of the top institutions that have published more than 4,500 articles in 2015-17, and whose papers were cited 30% more than the world average.
