NTU is ranked 120th in 2020 THE World University Rankings.
Times Higher Education released the World University Rankings 2020 on September 12, 2019. NTU climbed 50 places from 170th to 120th in the rankings this year, becoming the only university in Taiwan to enter the Top 200.
NTU’s scores have improved in all the five major areas of performance indicators, namely teaching, research, citations, industry income, and international outlook. For individual areas, NTU climbed from 85th to 74th in teaching, from 79th to 69th in research, from 497th to 452nd in citations, 183rd to 179th in industry income, and from 796th to 722nd in international outlook. In particular, NTU showed the greatest improvement in research and international outlook, reflecting the school’s recent implementation of related strategies to advance its research capacity and internationalization.
